Child abduction: Missing boy found in Mumbai

Recently in kuensel online news I had read about the missing boy Tashi Phuentsho, class 7 student, being found in Mumbai; who had returned back to Zhemgang after 6months of his missing. We all need to be thankful to Mumbai police, Bhutan Embassy in Delhi and all the concerned people who helped in bringing back Tashi Phuentsho to his parent. Our government, unlike others, helps each and every individual, even with their own personal problem. This is great and we should be proud of our self.

It seems that investigation is going on, and I don’t know how it will end up. May be the child abduction case may end up being case under investigation only. Or else we all might know the culprit behind child abduction soon. I personally feel that only police cannot solve the case, here the organization like NGO, RENEW, TARAYANA, etc should step in. For me, this case seems to be important, so our government should by any means try to find out the child abductor.

I may be wrong with my opinion, but I feel I should share my own views since I am one of the concerned citizens who want to know the truth behind Tashi Phuentsho’s missing story. 

As per Tashi Phuentsho’s statement, there were two men and a woman who had given him lift in a Hilux Toyato they were driving. All three of them could talk in Dzongkha. So, from his statement I could learn that, those three people were most probably Bhutanese. Only Bhutanese will drive Hilux in Bhutan, and more over boy himself can identify them through their looks. If they were Bhutanese then that’s very bad, indeed very, very bad to know that our own people could go up to such an extent.

Police and concern organization should obtain record of all the Hilux that have travelled between Zhemgang till Gelephu (and any possible way till western Bhutan), from chekpost on the day of Tashi’s missing and for the following day. This could possibly find out the abductor.

I also feel that, if Government really wants to find out the child abductor, then government should ask for a help from Indian police. With the help of Indian police, our people should go Mumbai and investigate the story behind. Boy had worked for a month without any pay in one of the hotel there that means hotel owner is paying someone else for the boy. It could also be possible that, hotel owner may know the people who brought boy at his place. So, our people definitely need to go down there at Mumbai.

But again, what I could make out is that boy could have lied. He reached all the way from Zhemgang to Mumbai without any conscious (around 3-4 days), which don’t seem to be truth for me. Moreover it’s not easy to carry unconscious boy till Mumbai in any mode of transportation. Even if that’s true, I think no one, who could drive Hilux will abduct a boy just for a few thousand rupees. He was at Mumbai working that means abductor will get around few thousand rupees for his work, which is far lesser worth than a risk taken. Even to carry boy till Mumbai will be much costlier. But again, boy may be taken for some other purpose, and might have landed up making him work at hotel.

For me as of now, nothing is clear about Tashi Phuentsho’s story behind his missing or abductor case. But what I again personally feel is that boy can’t go all the way till Mumbai, and he seems to be still in surprise. We shouldn’t doubt him till the case is clear. There seems to be definitely someone behind his missing/abduction story.

Hope soon we all know the real story behind his missing and abduction case. I hope our government and police will not leave the case without any result. Mother of boy is happy that she got her son back. She is not in a position to investigate and force the concern organization to find the people behind her son’s abduction or missing story. Now, it’s fully the responsibility of government to find out. Let’s watch and hope that the story behind his abduction and missing story be soon known to us.
