Jamtsho; the perfect man for every woman

“Beep… beep…”……… “Pick up the phone,” shouted Sherub.

Stretching in uncertain way, Jamtsho reached his hand towards call. “Hi chagem, I will call you after sometime tubga,” Jamtsho spoke in his usual way.

“Chagay, I know you are still sleeping. It’s 10am and you said you will wake up early last night. Anyway, Chagey I have something very important to tell you”. Yangchen spoke in unusual way, shivering and shattering with her words. Yangchen’s call made Jamtsho curious, and her word makes him worried.

“Chagem, is everything alright with you? I think you are crying. I know I can help you, tell me what happened. And please stop crying. I don’t want to see my angel, my going to be wife sad and upset. I always want to see you happy, and you will be happiest to be with me when we get married soon. Instead of crying tell me what’s the problem,” Jamtsho asked her, with his usual polishing and concern words.

“I am pregnant, and it’s been three months now,” sadden and insane Yangchen spoke with full of hopes and expectation in return.

“aahh… what!! Arrrrrre you serious?” Stammered Jamtsho, who got shocked and nervous.

“I hope you remember me telling about my visit to hospital, and today while going to get report I came to know about it. I don’t know what to do now, and I can only share about it with you”.

Yangchen, who still have two more years to complete her graduation, is drowning in tear, fear and embarrassment to face the world. She is regretting for her action, crying continuously. She isn’t in any position to share with anyone, so with a lot of hopes and confident she shared with her only love, Jamtsho. She has trusted Jamtsho more than herself, resulting in her pregnancy.

Both of them had been in love for around one year, and during their last meeting in Phuentsholing (winter vacation), they had a good time together; sharing their loves, feelings and their future plans. Yangchen was truly in love with Jamtsho, and she had planned to spend her whole life with him. But she never thought that their action could lead her into pregnancy that too before her graduation.

“How could that be possible? I also don’t know what to do. You decide it.” Without much word, Jamtsho hung up his call.

Jamtsho have two more years to complete his degree in Architecture. He knows that he is responsible for his action, but he too fear to face the truth. His parents have a lot of hopes, expectation, and trust on him. He was always considered good guy by everyone.

“How can I tell my parents that I am a father? What people will think about me and my parents?” all this thought arouse in his mind. He is not so sure what he should be doing. He even can’t tell her to abort that child because he can’t imagine killing his own child. He is numb, nervous, and in dilemma.

On the other hand, Yangchen is drowning in her tear. She never expected that from him. His words made her shatter her trust on him. All his words until date seem to be faked for her.

She too is worried about what society, her parents, her friends, and her near one’s will think.

“Tring…… tring”

“What you want to tell me now” depressed Yangchen responded his call.

“Chagem, I am really sorry for everything. I know how you feel, what you are thinking, and I can understand how every girl feels. Everything happened between us without any intention, but I know I am equally responsible for that. I can’t leave you behind; I can’t waste your whole precious life, I can’t let you suffer just because of me. I know what I did to you; I can’t leave you behind just for my dreams, we have our dreams now. We both have to face the truth, and I am sure as long as we are together everything will be all right. So, Chagem, don’t think much. I am here for you; trust me. Eat on time; take care of your health, and do take care of our baby. We both will go to our parents in our coming vacation. And now I feel that, if you are with me, we can face everyone. I love you chagem,” Jamtsho called her back after thinking for a lot. He can’t imagine wasting someone’s life just because of him, so he decided to tell everyone with fear and embarrassment.

“Thank you Chagay. I wish every woman gets a man like you. I love you too”.
